GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is Mobile GameDen?

Mobile GameDen is an entertainment provider. As the name implies, we are mobile, the party comes to you…your house, your work, your school, your church, or the park down the street. Basically, anywhere we can manage to drive, you can plan your event. We deliver fun, fresh daily.

When I book a party online, am I guaranteed that date?

Our site is designed for live booking by our customers. When you book online your spot is reserved. In a very rare case, if two orders come in at the same time for the same day and time, it may lead to a double booking in which case we will process the earliest entry and contact the second submitter to reschedule their event.

How much time in advance should I book my event?

Mobile GameDen events are scheduled on a first come first served basis. The more notice you can give the better your chance of booking the date and time of your preference. Some of our customers book a year in advance. In other cases, we may take an inquiry on Monday about scheduling an event that Friday and the day and time are available. We just never know so book as early as possible.

Do you host tournaments?

Yes. We host tournaments occasionally and can help you host one at your event.

Do you do charity work?

How do fundraisers work?

What is a mobile video game arcade?

A mobile video game arcade is an arcade on wheels featuring video gaming consoles as well as some “old school” arcade style games.

How many people can play in the mobile video game arcade at one time?

Up to 24 gamers can play on the inside of the arcade.

What type of games do you offer in the arcade?

Mobile GameDen provides games for all ages. All games have an associated game rating and are rated from E (everyone) to M (mature). You decide what ratings to limit at your event. In addition, if you want to make sure that a specific game is available at your event just let us know and we’ll make it happen.

What are the power requirements?

The mobile arcade can connect to any standard outlet. In some cases, at some locations, we may need to plug in to a second outlet on a separate circuit.

Are food and drink allowed in the arcade?

Food and drinks are only allowed in the arcade upon receipt of paid deposit of $250. Any damages related to food or drink will be assessed based on equipment replacement value in new condition. If the amount of assessed damages is greater that the deposit provided then you will be responsible for the difference within 30 days from the date of the event. No damages to equipment leads to a full refund of the paid deposit.

The mobile video game arcade will take up about 60’ in length and about 15’ in width.

Do you offer anything to eat or drink?

We can provide drinks and snacks for an additional cost on request. All food and drink must be consumed outside the arcade unless the deposit has been paid.

Can I bring my own food or drinks into the arcade?

Yes, but only if the deposit has been paid.

LASER TAG QUESTIONS

How many players can play at one time?

In most scenarios we recommend breaking out in to teams of five or playing free-for-all with a group of ten.

How long does a round last?

You can choose how long you want each round to last. We recommend between 4-6 minutes per round.

What types of games can be played?

We have multiple settings on our equipment. You can play team elimination where users get “tagged” out, team elimination where no one is “tagged” out and the game lasts until time runs out. You can also play free-for-all in the same manner. We have a setting that slows down game play and increases strategy by simulating reloading a musket loader. There is also settings for mercenaries and zombies.

Is the equipment heavy?

We do not use vests. Our equipment consists of a laser tag gun and a headband both of which are very light.

How old do you have to be to play?

We recommend ages 8 to 98.

BIG SCREEN QUESTIONS

Can I use the big screen to show movies in public?

Not without proper licensing. Copyright laws state that you can only watch movies for home use. You can use our equipment in your yard for your family and guests within a reasonable amount of people. The lines get a little blurry at that point.

Does Mobile GameDen have licensing to show movies in public?

Yes. Mobile GameDen has secured the proper licensing to screen movies in public. We can help make sure that your event is properly licensed. Public screenings will require and additional licensing fee to be paid prior to the event.

BIG SCREEN QUESTIONS

Do copyright laws apply?

Yes, under the Copyright Revision Act of 1976, all non-private exhibitors of registered copyrighted videos or DVDs must obtain a Public Performance License. ‘Willful’ infringement for commercial or financial gain is a federal crime and carries a maximum sentence of up to five years in jail and/or a $250,000 fine.

What is a ‘Public Performance’?

The copyright laws covering films states that they may be viewed for ‘Home Use Only’ meaning the viewing of the movie at home by family or a close circle of friends.

If I don’t charge admission do I still need a license?

Yes.

I own the movie, do I still need a license to show it outside of my home?

Yes.

We are a nonprofit organization (such as a school, church or government agency) do we still need a license?

Yes.

Are schools exempt from needing a license?

There is an education exemption which is a precise activity that allows the legal use of movies in certain types of teaching. To meet this exemption: a teacher or instructor must be present, the viewing takes place in a classroom setting with only the enrolled students attending, the movie is used as an essential part of the core current curriculum being taught and the movie being used is a legitimate copy – not copied from a legitimate copy or from television.

How do I obtain a license? Can Mobile GameDen help?

We can help. The license will increase the overall cost of your event however the increased cost is precisely the amount necessary for the license.
